Roots of Development has been a member of MCLD since 2016.

The Movement for Community-Led Development (MCLD) is a network of organizations committed to community-led development. MCLD collects and disseminates methodologies and best practices utilized by its members to mobilize and empower communities to take charge of their own development and end hunger and extreme poverty.

Emanate International is a resource for nonprofits, NGOs, and social enterprise leaders to think critically about their work and the execution of it. Best Practices After a Natural Disaster

Relief and recovery efforts are often complex and demand resources from numerous and diverse sources. However, they too must be led by local leaders and local solutions.
After the most recent earthquake in Haiti, a collection of organizations led by the Haiti Response Coalition drafted a pledge for new minimum standards that outlined a series of principles and standards for operating and helping during a natural disaster.
