Job Summary: As a Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and expanding partnerships with local organizations in Haiti. Your responsibilities will include identifying strong partners committed to community-led development, documenting lessons learned, and supporting capacity strengthening activities. You will also facilitate the convening of like-minded local actors to promote knowledge sharing, foster sustainable collaboration, and monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes. Working closely with local stakeholders and their allies, you will advocate for community-led development and help improve aid effectiveness in Haiti and beyond. This position offers a unique opportunity to support a localized approach to international development, impact thousands of lives, and inspire a broader global movement toward development without dependency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Development and Management:

Expand our network of partners by identifying and tracking strong, local organizations actively engaged in sustainable, community-led development efforts in Haiti.

Develop and implement strategies for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with those organizations.

Facilitate the alignment of the organization and our partners around a unified set of goals and objectives.

Collaborate with international NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather insights, build partnerships, and garner support for locally-led organizations and their efforts.

  • Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing:

Facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to promote engagement and collaboration between partners.

Promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices among partners.

Coordinate capacity-building opportunities for local partners to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Maintain a repository of resources and tools to support learning and partnership activities.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, surveys, and ongoing communications with partners.

Collaborate with local partners to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess performance and impact.

Prepare regular reports on partnership progress, challenges, successes, and opportunities for improvement.

Document issues and work with local partners to integrate findings into program design and implementation.

  • Communication and Advocacy:

Provide the team with the information needed to develop communication materials that highlight partner achievements and lessons learned.

Represent the organization at local and international forums to advocate for the needs and interests of our partners.

Assist in implementing advocacy strategies aimed at improving international aid effectiveness in Haiti.

  • Resource Mobilization:

Identify funding opportunities and assist in efforts to secure financial support for local partners.

Work with local partners to develop funding proposals and manage grant compliance.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with community-based organizations, in program management, partnership development, and/or a related role, preferably within the international aid and development sector.

Deep familiarity with the socio-economic and cultural context of Haiti.

Strong understanding of the aid landscape and the principles and practices of community-led development.

Proven experience in facilitating and promoting multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in using Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Spoken and written fluency in Haitian Creole; Proficiency in French and English.

Willingness to travel extensively within Haiti (and internationally as required).
